Started collecting around 1996 (just after the Av's won the Cup) when I was able to win an eBay auction for Peter Forsberg's rookie card for 20 cents. At the time, I knew very little about collecting, but Foppa's card got me hooked. Some 50,000 cards later, I stopped collecting in the mid-2000's, mainly due to not enough time and/or money to continue. Now, being retired, with lots of time but little money, I'm looking for homes for all of my cards. With nobody to pass them down to (my grand-kids show zero interest), maybe somebody here will rescue some of them! Want the whole collection? Make an offer! (But you'll have to pick it up here)
NOTICE: Just had one buyer who purchased my entire football collection. The cards may still appear here on TCDb during transition while the cards exchange hands. In progress trade offers may also affect appearances. However, this should not change any of the other sports collections (hockey, baseball, etc.).
Still collecting a few current sets but, in general, the rest of the collection is up For Sale or Trade.
Primarily collected football & hockey, some baseball, basketball, golf, racing, cheerleaders, and other wacky things. Favored the 'hometown' professional Colorado teams: Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Rockies. Also, there's some interest in, but not necessarily collecting, the CU Buffaloes, CSU Rams, and Nebraska Cornhuskers (primarily 1970's QB Jerry Tagge - a somewhat distant cousin).
Due to USPS rules & regulations, I am unable to ship outside of the United States. (I am unable to physically go to a post office to do the necessary filing of forms.) I prefer to send via PWE, with larger orders sent BMWT. After acceptance, I'll try to ship the order the same or next day. (Mail is usually picked up mid-day, and being retired, I'm a late-riser, so it might be an extra day before the PO actually picks up the package)
